Enhance Your EMDR Skills and Get Better Client Outcomes

EMDR Consulting for Therapists

Get the support you need and the results your clients desire...

“EMDR basic training was like drinking from a fire hose.”

The above were the words of one of my consultee clients. The metaphor referred to her experience that while she loved her EMDR training, she was overwhelmed by the sheer amount of information given.

Like many of my EMDR therapist consultees, she wanted help integrating EMDR into her work with clients.

As you likely know, EMDR therapy is a robust and highly effective psychotherapy model.

It is also complex, resulting in a steep learning curve.

There is much information to integrate into your practice after completing EMDR training, and it’s often overwhelming.

Perhaps you’re trying to use EMDR with clients but sometimes feel like a fraud.

Your clients may not be progressing with EMDR therapy, and you can’t figure out why.

Whatever your situation, EMDR consultation is the BEST way to become proficient in using EMDR to get the best outcomes with your clients.

5 Key Reasons to Choose Me as Your
EMDR Consultant

1. I’ve done my own EMDR therapy.

My therapy has given me a much deeper understanding of how EMDR works and what progress with EMDR looks like over time.

I want you to benefit from EMDR the way I did. This drives me to help you make EMDR easier to integrate deeply and thoroughly into your work.

2. I’m an Experienced EMDIRA-Approved EMDR Consultant.

I’ve provided EMDR consultation for therapists since 2020 and have used EMDR with clients since 2014.

I run an EMDR consultation group for therapists at a local agency and offer one-to-one and group EMDR consulting in my private practice.

In addition to providing therapy and consultation, I am a Senior Training Facilitator with Dr. Christie Sprowls and a Facilitator for an Advanced EMDR Training on using EMDR with Ego State Therapy with Farnsworth Lobenstine.

These experiences have given me a solid understanding of how to use EMDR in a way that maintains fidelity to the EMDR model, is up-to-date with how EMDR therapy has evolved over time, and is creative and flexible when needed.

3. I Offer EMDR Consulting Within a Relational Framework.

My approach to EMDR therapy and consulting is firmly grounded in the EMDR model and incorporates a relational approach. I integrate principles from Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) and attachment theory when using EMDR.

In order for your clients to experience deep healing, they need more than a reduction in symptoms. They need to feel safe, cared for, attuned to and have new experiences that heal attachment wounds and allow them to flourish.

I’m a gentle, compassionate, and patient therapist and consultant. You’ll feel safe with me as you become more proficient in using EMDR.

4. I’ve Completed Numerous Advanced EMDR Trainings and have developed unique ways to use EMDR with neurodiverse clients and DBT skills.

Some of the many advanced EMDR trainings I’ve completed are:

  • EMDR Treatment of Anxiety

  • Attachment-Focused EMDR

  • EMDR and Addictions

  • IFS-Informed EMDR

  • Treating Insomnia with EMDR

  • Treating Complex Trauma and PTSD and Dissociation Using EMDR

  • Treating Medically Unexplained Pain with EMDR Therapy

  • AIP, Attachment Theory, and EMDR Case Conceptualization

  • Utilization of EMDR with Traumatic Bereavement

  • EMDR Toolbox: AIP Methods for Treating PTSD and Dissociative Personality Disorder

  • Learning to Feel Good Sharing Positive Emotion: The Positive Affect Tolerance Protocol

EMDR is an integrative approach and is designed to be used with other therapies. I incorporate AEDP, IFS, Ego State Therapy, CBT, DBT, somatic experiencing, ADHD strategies, and other approaches into my EMDR work, when appropriate, and can teach you to do the same.

I can also share with you some of the unique ways I’ve developed to use EMDR with ADHD and Autistic clients. My neurodiverse clients love EMDR therapy!

5. I Have a Multitude of EMDR Resources Available.

As my consultee, you’ll have access to several recordings of live EMDR video demonstrations and handouts. These videos include demonstrations of the 8 Phases of EMDR therapy with several colleagues who chose a real issue to work on using EMDR.

In addition, you’ll be able to view 4 teaching videos on strategies you can use with clients when they’re stuck or accessing too much or too little material during a processing session.

I also have helpful handouts you can share with clients, including About EMDR Therapy, About BLS, Brain Graphic, Time-Line Worksheet, and a Cognitions Sheet.
